The standard course for anyone working offshore.  Included helicopter emergency, fire fighting, basic first aid and use of rebreathers.

I am a Risk Consultant, specialising in Human Factors and Safety.  My consulting company is called AB Risk Limited. If you would like to know more about this please go to www.abrisk.co.uk


By way of background:

  • I graduated from Loughborough University in 1990 with a BSc in Chemical Engineering.
  • I completed a PhD in 1996 at Edinburgh University.
  • Since then I have worked as a consultant, first as an employee of other companies,  going it alone in 2005.


I live in Llandudno, North Wales.  I am married and have two children. Family life keeps me pretty busy, but I enjoy windsurfing and surfing, badminton, hill walking and cycling.  I am a Governor of our local Primary School and get involved with our local diabetes family support group.


By way of diversification, I recently trained to be a Lay Inspector of Schools in Wales.
