It’s taken a while, but you can now see a full calendar of historical accidents and other notable events. You may find it useful for daily ‘safety moments’. For each there is a short summary and one or more links.
There are some dates in the calendar where multiple, high profile accidents have occurred. But on some there have been very few accidents to reference. I have tried refer to events with learning applicable to process safety and/or human factors. That proved to be tricky for some dates.
Accuracy of the dates and summaries is not guaranteed. It is worth noting that some events may have occurred over several days. If you spot any errors or omissions please let me know.
