It’s taken a while, but you can now see a full calendar of historical accidents. You may find it useful for daily ‘safety moments’ or simply to look at the wide range of accidents that have occurred. For each there is a short summary and a link or two to websites with more information.
There are some dates in the calendar where multiple, high profile accidents have occured. But on some there have been very few accidents to reference.
Accuracy of the dates and summaries is not guarantted. It is worth noting that some events may have occured over several days. Wherever possible, the accidents have been selected because of learning related to major accidents, process safety and/or human factors. If you spot any errors or omissions let me know.
